week 3
team:
we decided to focus on nature this week, specifically on the scenery, and to bring the outdoors into the game.
jamie:
I wanted to take a procedural approach to the game, to make the game look different each time the player played, so I created a script that would grab a plane, figure out its dimensions, then plot a point randomly on the plane with a random y rotation. I created a list of prefabs that could be placed on these points and randomly one. there were a few issues such as scale and world position, as I had to unparent the game objects to preserve scale, but in the end, I believe it gave a convincing result for the game.
Andrea:
This week we were given another idea/feature to add or come up with in our current prototype. So we made another prototype with the idea of implementing Nature into our game. So we decided that bring nature into the environment, and atmosphere of our game. So we began working on it, so our environment/ art texture of the game would be changed, so the environment will give a nature/forest aesthetic to our game which nature will bring life to our game. So began changing the city/motorway elements in our prototype to implement nature aesthetics into the game.
